In the fall of 2020 My old friend and super talented chef Chris Dimaio asked me to help create a logo and print materials for his new company with his business partner (and talented mixologist) Blair Marano. The company, called Montana Craft Kitchen, is a Flathead Valley based private chef and events company.
Chris and Blair use locally sourced wild and farmed ingredients whenever possible (often foraging for key cuisine components themselves) so after looking at several iconic food form ideas the artwork creation process landed us on the buffalo, a strong silhouette representing the wild and locally farmed high quality meats Chris uses, and the morel mushroom, which is a spring staple in his dishes.
